Technology as Lifestyle in Modern Society

Modern lifestyle is a habit or pattern of new behavior in everyday as time pases. The times have changed because all of things became modern. One of conspicuous lifestyle there is use of technology that makes lifestyle in modern society. We can find almost everyone has a cell phone, laptop, computer and etcetera. It is evidence of lifestyle in modern society nowadays. This lettering will elaborate about advantages and disadvantages about technology as lifestyle in modern society. 

Technology is one of lifestyle that help our in daily activity such as washing clothes by washing machine, send information by cell phone, make presentation by laptop or computer (not typewriter again) and make conversation with relatives who has far distance by video call as one of technology advances. Everything we want to make it easy, only one finger everything can be handled. Modern societies are familiar to using technology. Children until old people have known to use technology. This is the advantages of technology that make modern society very dependent. 

Dependence of using technology can give negative impact. For children, if they have known how to use cell phone in early age or play game like play station, it makes them addictive. If they were being addicted that will decrease of their eye health, give them radiation from computer screen and the others. Not only for children but also for everyone have negative impact. Disadvantages of technology are rapid stream of information from outside. It makes deterioration of culture. 

In some cases, technology has advantages and disadvantages depend on each user. If the user are using for useful things so we can called them not only modern society but they are smart modern society and do not make mistake in using technology as our lifestyle.

Culture

Culture is a lifestyle that has growth. In every groups have culture, and passed from generation to generation. Culture formed from few elements, including religious systems and politics, custom, vernaculars, clothes, building and artworks. Indonesia is a country which has a few islands where each island has its own specific culture. One of province in Indonesia has specific culture that is province of South Sulawesi. In this blog, author explain about South Sulawesi culture. 

The first, South Sulawesi is a province which is located in part of Sulawesi island. The capital city of South Sulawesi is Makassar. These are many custom and ethnics in South Sulawesi that are Bugis, Makassar, Toraja and Mandar. In every ethnic have vernaculars, clothes, building and artworks. Bugis is one of ethnic in South Sulawesi that vernaculars of Bugis is the one of the Austronesian languages used by ethnic Bugis, beside that their accent has a soft dialect. Traditional clothes from Bugis ethnic is Baju Bodo. The shape of Baju Bodo is rectangular, short sleeves and rigid material. In Bugis culture there are three things that can give description about the culture of Bugis culture there are "Konsep Ade", "Siri' na Pacce" and symbolism of buginese is silk sarong. 

The second, Makassar ethnic is not much different from Bugis ethnic. Makassar tribe or Orang Mangasara, they are good sailing and happy to wander. Vernaculars of Makassar referred as Basa Mangkasara, this vernaculars have its own alphabet, called Lontara. The accent has not a soft dialect like Bugis ethnic but traditional clothes are same. In generally, Makassar culture almost be same with Bugis culture but constantly different. 

In conclusion, South Sulawesi rich of culture, and we as adolescents us keep our own specific culture. Do not embarrassed to secure our culture.
